Each compass rose is plasma cut from 14-gauge steel and individually hand finished with our colorful patina process. Rich copper and bronze tones blend with touches of blue, teal, purple and red, creating a finish that changes character as the light moves across it. Because the patina is applied by hand, no two pieces will be exactly alike.
A durable clear powder coat is applied over the finish for added protection and a beautiful finished appearance. The compass rose is suitable for indoor or outdoor display.

What happens if my tracking info says my package was delivered but I didn't actually receive it?
When we contract with third party carriers (USPS, UPS, Fedex) to deliver packages, they become responsible for the care and delivery of the packages. We cannot be responsible for deliveries made to the wrong address or package thefts. We will work with our valued customers to locate any missing package to the best of our ability. We will also on a case-by -ase basis consider replacing a lost, stolen, or incorrectly delivered package. We upload and email tracking for each package we ship. Please make arrangements to accept the package in a secure location and manner.
What happens if my metal art is damaged during shipping?
We do our best to securely package or items for shipment. However it does occasionally happen that a package gets damaged during shipping. If this happens, please contact us to inform us of any damage. Please provide photos of the damage if possible so we may determine if it can be repaired. Oftentimes small bends in the metal can be straightened without damaging the finish. Other times a replacement piece will need to be sent and a claim filed with the shipping company (USPS, UPS, Fedex). In any event, we'll make sure you ultimately receive an undamaged item.

It’s a little less three dimensional than I thought it was, but that’s not a problem. It looks great. Fits the space I bought it for perfectly.

I had written Back 40 Metal Worx customer service to ask if the Compass Rose Nautical Metal Wall Art that I was interested in would look good against a red barn. B40MW most asuredely agreed that it would, and they were absolutely right. I'd like to attach a photo, but with this Etsy review I cannot do this. : (

We absolutely love our new artwork! It looks amazing in our living room between two large pieces of artwork. The metal finishes picks up so many of the colors in the paintings. And you get a different view of it when you move around the room and the different light hits it. It's spectacular!!
